Rockabilly Cafe in Selmer

The Alabama Motormaids stopped in for lunch and enjoyed a meal in a quaint little cafe that had excellent service and great food.

The food was ok, but not only did the waitress get the order wrong, but he service left a lot to be desired. She forgot to bring silverware to the table and she was in such a hurry to drop and run that I had to call her back so I could finish asking for hot sauce. She didn't bother to check on us. A different waitress refilled my coffee. When checking out she didn't even bother to ask how everything was or if we needed anything else. I wanted to take some stuff to go but they never gave me the chance to order it. This was my second time here and the first wasn't much better. If you have another option take it.

Very interesting place. Real down-home food. Enjoyed the short time I had there. Will be going back again.

We arrived our order was taken 2 tables of people came in after up they got there food before we did. I ordered a cheese and bacon omelet They served me a raw omelet. Not impressed.

I wanted to give them no stars but had to give one in order to post ...Anyway this place is never even open and when it is the workers are more involved with their cell phones than the customers...stay away unless you have plenty of time to kill .....just like some of the other places I've been to in Selmer lazy workers .......

Rockabilly was better when it was owned by the previous people, but it is still really good! The cheeseburgers are the best!

You can tell this place really likes local folks... they will treat you like an outsider if you are one. Food was good, not great. But the atmosphere is really what ruined both (2) of my visits.

Passing through on our way to the beach and we stopped at the Rockabilly Cafe. Great food, great service and very nice staff. Happy Birthday Ruth!!!!

Trying new places. This diner was incredible. I had breakfast and my son had the Philly Cheesesteak. Sweet tea was incredible too.

Friendly place to have breakfast or lunch. They close at 2pm. They have posters on the walls of Elvis and other artists of the 50's era. If you go, the place is down a side street (Front Street) near the railroad tracks. There is a building a block away with a big mural on it advertising the cafe. We thought that was the right place but the young lady in that place walked us down and showed us the right door. (Currently painted red on the wall outside the entrance). The food was really good too!

I ordered a patty melt and spicy fries. My order came to me pretty quickly. It was good food. The place was clean and the staff was helpful and nice.

Love the food prices and service

I don't understand how this place stays covered up during the day. Ordered breakfast here to-go one week day morning. They were very busy, but my biscuit had that hard texture like it had been sitting there all morning. My meal was supposed to come with gravy for the old biscuit, it did not. The sausage was tolerable, but the eggs smelled like an old sponge. Also had the shredded potato which was a bizarre combination of soggy and crispy with no flavor.

Very slow service. 10-15 minutes before anyone took our order and then around 30 minutes for food to show up. The food was ok, but a little too under seasoned.

They served well over 1200 people a very good Thanksgiving lunch for free. Stop by and support them. Good food and reasonable prices.

Save yourself some time and money. Their staff is not clean and do not use gloves to cook and we watched them eat while cooking. The food was tough and really didn't have any flavor to it!

My guys loved the food there today especially the Great Northern Beans

Clean fast service

I arrived shortly after lunch rushI was able to choose where I wanted to sit; although the cafe was basically full and only very limited seating available. The waitress was quick to come and clean the table. It had not been cleared from last customer. They were extremely busy.She was very friendly and brought the unsweetened tea I ordered promply! I ordered tuna salad on toasted bread with pickles on the side and crispy tater tots. I received my order and it was delicious! She came back to check on me several times. She also fixed me a large drink to go, when I started. Great service!This cafe has lots of ambience! Great pictures on the walls. Also, guitars, and hand paintings.This is a casual; laid back place and children are welcome with a full children's menu.The owner was also very friendly and helpful and was happy to point out items of interest she had on the walls.I highly recommend this place and throughly enjoyed my lunch and my visit.

We were travelling through and needed something besides fast food. Had the hamburger steak. Food and service was great. Atmosphere was nice.

Love love love this place and the people who own it and run it. Food is good home cooking with some lively entertainment. Go there almost everyday! 5 Stars!

There's nothing like eating at your hometown downtown restaurant. Breakfast is always good! For lunch we like the Taco salad...it's large enough for two to share.♥️

We never know what we will encounter here. Is the tea going to be fresh? Is the food going to be fresh or greasy? When it's good it's great but the inconsistency makes it hard to want to keep coming back....

Excellent little family owned restraunt. Great service, our waitress was extremely attentive even though it was busy. Very tasty food. Just coming from out west, prices are amazing. My husband and I spent less than $20 including a 30% tip!
